🍂 From the Studio • Fall Colors & Wide Open Spaces - Sept 2026

Hello, friends!

There’s something about the changing of seasons that always makes me want to reach for a little more color.

Fall has arrived in the studio—not necessarily in the traditional autumn palette, but in my own TexiPam Art way: glowing oranges, deep purples, warm golds, and those big, beautiful Texas skies that make you feel like there’s nowhere else you need to be.

I’ve been spending a lot of time at the easel lately, and I just wrapped up two new paintings that I’m especially excited to share with you.

🎨 Featured Story

Wide Open Spaces

These two paintings came together almost side by side, and both were inspired by that feeling I love so much—the feeling of looking out across an open landscape and having room to breathe.

The first is filled with dramatic hills, winding fields, and tall lavender blooms. Deep purples and fiery oranges give the landscape a little bit of drama, while the flowers pull your eye right into the scene.

The second takes a quieter approach, with rolling hills, distant hills, a wide sky, and a field of lavender stretching across the foreground. I love the contrast between the soft landscape and those bold, colorful flowers.

Both are brand-new originals, just finished and still on the easel!

There's something especially satisfying about reaching that final brushstroke and stepping back to see the whole thing come together. These paintings are still fresh from the studio, and I can't wait to see where they end up.

✏️ Studio Notes

The studio has been busy!

Lately, I've been thinking a lot about wide open spaces, the Texas landscape, and the way color can completely change the mood of a place.

I don't always paint fall colors in the traditional sense. For me, autumn can be orange and purple, lavender and gold, with a little unexpected turquoise thrown in for good measure.

And of course, there have been some four-legged friends making their way onto the easel, too...

🐾 PupWorks Corner

Meet the Heelers!

I've also recently finished a few new additions to PupWorks, featuring one of my favorite subjects: Heelers!

These three pieces are all about that unmistakable Heeler personality—alert ears, curious expressions, and that “What are we doing next?” energy that every Heeler owner knows so well.

I especially love putting these pups into wide-open landscapes. There's just something about a good dog looking out across the countryside that feels like a little story waiting to happen.

Whether they're sitting quietly watching the sunset or standing proudly in the middle of the landscape, these guys seem perfectly at home in the wide open spaces.

And honestly... I'm pretty sure they approve of fall, too. 🐾🍂

🌈 A Little Color for Your Day

“Sometimes all you need is a little color, a little space, and a good dog beside you.”
Pam Campbell, TexiPam Art

Until Next Time...

Thank you for continuing to follow along with me here in the studio.

Every painting starts with an idea, but it becomes something much more meaningful when it finds its way to someone who connects with it.

I hope these new pieces bring you a little bit of that wide-open feeling—a big sky, a colorful field, and a moment to simply stop and enjoy the view.

Until next time, keep looking for the color.

With gratitude,

Pam Campbell
